The project “Silver Service” promotes the inclusion of migrants supported by senior volunteers.

The overall aim of the project is to producing interactive resources for adult education, with innovative approaches to the integration of migrants and active ageing opportunities for senior citizens.

The project proposes the development and implementation of a training programme personalised, designed for a target group of seniors that includes older workers approaching retirement and recent retirees. This programme will include a training curriculum and a set of appropriate teaching resources to enable the redeployment of the target group as volunteers to support the development of essential civic and social skills in established and growing migrant communities.

The project proposes a mutually beneficial agreement that gives the target group the opportunity to continue to actively contribute to society, while at the same time responding to the migrant integration objectives underway in the Member States.
